House Committee Meets Oct. 24 To Consider Gas Royalty, Diesel Engines In Coal Mines Bills

The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to meet October 24 to consider legislation on oil and natural gas royalty transparency and regulation of diesel engines in underground coal mines.

The bills include--

-- Senate Bill 806 (Yaw-R-Lycoming) further providing for disclosures on statements to oil and gas royalty interest owners.

-- Senate Bill 1255 (Pittman-R-Indiana) revising the regulation to require oil and oil filters in diesel-powered equipment in underground coal mines.

“And any other business that may come before the Committee.”

The meeting will be held in Room 60 East Wing of the Capitol at the Call of the Chair, which means there is no set time for the meeting.  Click Here to watch live.

The Committee is also scheduled to have a hearing that same day on “fossil fuels - driving America’s economy and quality of life” starting at 9:30 a.m.
